It features a 12-inch woofer driven by a powerful 400-watt amplifier, capable of filling even large rooms with deep, solid bass. This definitive subwoofer uses Polk's proprietary feed-forward technology to reduce audible distortion without sacrificing volume. Even at room-shattering volumes, you get fast and accurate reproduction across the subwoofer's frequency range. The PRO 660wi also includes the Polk Room Optimizer. This is an ingenious feature that allows him to place the Remote power subwoofer in one of four options: in the corner, in the middle of the wall, in the closet, and in the middle of the room.
The optimizer automatically adjusts the polk subwoofer's response to ensure smooth, clean bass from its position. The included remote control gives you easy access to this feature, and you can use the volume control and phase switch to fine-tune the bass from your favourite listening spot. Removable legs allow the Pro-660wi to be positioned for either front-firing or downward-firing operation.

The DSW Pro 660wi has more than enough power to cover the room with very low, midrange, and upper sub woofer frequency range when placed in the middle of the room on a hardwood floor. They blend in beautifully with the other speakers in the room and my RTi A9 set. Even at greater volumes, it fills the space and barely seems to be producing any distortion. I am happy with the way my receiver balances the room and speakers using a microphone.
