Latest HDMI Connectivity
All eight of the HDMI inputs on the Marantz AV8805 comply with the most recent HDCP 2.2 and HDMI requirements, making it future-proof. The AV8805 supports BT.2020 pass-through on all inputs, 4K Ultra HD 60Hz video, 4:4:4 Pure Color sub-sampling, High Dynamic Range (HDR) and 21:9 video, 3D, and these other technologies.
IMAX Enhanced
Improvements in performance with IMAX Enhanced material are certified by IMAX (via firmware update) It is compatible with 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray disc players, set-top boxes, and other 4K Ultra HD sources. Dolby Vision compatibility, HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma), a new HDR format in Marantz AV Pre-amplifier for broadcasting, and pass-through capability are also supported.
Auro-3D
Auro-3D offers a more immersive surround sound experience by entirely enveloping the listener in lifelike sound thanks to the specialized height and above channels in addition to the conventional channels. Future firmware updates will enable Auro-3D at no extra cost. A later firmware upgrade will supposedly make AV8805 Marantz capability available.
DTS:X
AV 8805 Marantz is DTS:X immersive audio that creates a realistic, three-dimensional audio experience within the home by placing sound where it would naturally occur in space. All of your favorite movies benefit from the enhanced immersion and increased realism provided by the DTS Neural:X spatial remapping engine.
