certified buyer I am writing this review after 20+ days of usage. It is a very good quality product by Yamaha. I did market research for almost 30 days and finally chosen YAS-209. You could easily feel the quality of sound(crystal clear) as soon as you start hearing songs. I have tested the sound with Fiber optic, Bluetooth, HDMI ARC connections. So i would suggest HDMI ARC is the best way to connect this soundbar 209.If HDMI option is not available then only go for Optical. It will deliver cinematic sound.Iam amazed by the 3D surround sound(DTS-X).Overall my satisfaction rate is 9 out of 10 for this yas 209 wireless subwoofer.

certified buyer You need to press and hold the Alexa button on the top of unit for 5 seconds once you have it hardwired, in order to set up the WiFi. A great soundbar by yamaha, with the sound quality which is good and the virtual DTS X really good for movies and music, also alexa is great for playing music and changing the soundbar to the bluetooth or hdmi mode. Highly recommended !

certified buyer I love YAS 209 soundbar by Yamaha. It is sleek looks good and sounds excellent. So it comes in the usual pain packaging that most soundbars do. But once you get past that it is a breeze. Set up is easy the bar itself is lower profile so will fit under TV that are on lower legs so no worries there. This thing will connect to anything lol. Bluetooth wifi connection for use with your phone Alexa and Spotify. I do not use those things much but it is great to have them available. Now the most important thing is the sound and this does not fail to deliver. The lows and High are clear but you still get a bucket full of bass. The voices come through and you do not struggle to hear them over the action unlike some other setups. The sub has a decent range too so your not stuck with it being stuck 1 foot away from the TV. Overall this is a great option it is true to Yamaha form and you would not be disappointed at all.

certified buyer This Yamaha soundbar is sleek solid built powerful output with amazing sound quality. The soundbar comes with wireless subwoofer. There is also Alexa built in for voice control controlling smart devices as well as pairing with other Alexa devices. Download the app which is mandatory to update any firmware on the soundbar as well as connect the soundbar to Wi-Fi. The subwoofer connects to the soundbar automatically as soon as you plug it in and turn on the soundbar. I was able to setup this soundbar with my TV fairly easily. You can connect the soundbar with TV or audio devices using the HDMI port digital optical in and Bluetooth. It also supports Dolby and DTS sound the HDMI 4K pass-through feature but if you have multiple devices you either need to get a HDMI switch or manually connect these devices to HDMI out every time you use the soundbar since there is only one HDMI out. This is kinda not ideal setup. You can use the app or the included remote to change the audio source directly. I really like the surround sound this produces it is clear and provides good bass. Overall this is a great mid-range soundbar with good sound quality and features that you would find in other competiting soundbars.

certified buyer I have been waiting for a long time to try this Yamaha yas-209 and now that I have bought it I am delighted. I went from a Sonos Beam also great but without a sub (too expensive the Sonos one the Yamaha soundbar has a more balanced sound (the additional sub is not exaggerated but the soundbar sounds more balanced). Alexa was initially in English but recently an update added Italian and is now perfect. The application is to be improved not intuitive and uncomfortable better to use the remote control. Very good for movies less for listening only music but still another level than any Amazon Echo.

certified buyer Yamaha Yas 209 soundbar is great for movies and TV very loud enough for a typical apt or living room,the bass and 3D surround (DTS Virtual X) are very strong and the Virtual X does add some height and width to the sound and also at higher volumes the sound segregation gets even better.Connect very well via bluetooth very smooth treble and mid, sub woofer when bass ext turned on powerful enough to shake the room, also has a very elegant design.
